Intermediate Bike Skills Workshop
Learn the necessities and gain confidence riding your bike to work, school, and other daily destinations!
This course will help you gain skills and knowledge to ride confidently and safely in the urban context. You will review the basics of bike maintenance, way finding, rules of the road and pathway etiquette, and safety. Taught by a an experienced Bike Right Certified instructor from Elevation Outdoors, this will be a small-class (max of 6 participants).
The course will be taught primarily through a guided group ride exploring various types of bike lanes including painted lanes, protected land and multi-use pathways. Participants can provide their own bike and helmet or equipment can be provided. Participants should be able to ride a bike with moderate confidence.
Dates: Saturday, May 3rd or Thursday, May 22nd
Location: Entrance of Parkinson Recreation Centre (1800 Parkinson Way, Kelowna)
Length of session: 2 hours
Time: Saturday session runs from 9 – 11 am, Thursday session from 6 – 8 pm.
Cost: $20.50 (for 1 x 2 hour session)
