We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Rental Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of Kelowna Bike Rentals, our socially responsible bike and adaptive equipment rental service supporting Elevation Outdoors and Adaptive Adventures.

The Supervisor is responsible for the successful day-to-day operations, including management of staff and the equipment fleet, ensuring all operational policies and procedures are documented and adhered to.

Management Duties

• Weekly or bi-weekly meetings with management to discuss operations
• Preparing and delivering reports for trend analysis
• Managing staff including scheduling, delegating tasks, and ensuring quality performance
• Support with training and motivating staff to ensure excellent customer service
• Ensure safety regulations are followed
• Reporting any incidents or disciplinary issues to AA and EO management

Customer Service Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service, greet customers, and answer inquiries
• Assist customers in choosing the right rental for their needs
• Help with rental paperwork and complete the rental process
• Ensure the shop is clean, well-maintained, and organized
• Monitor and analyze customer feedback to improve services
• Address and resolve any customer complaints

Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate should be dependable, willing to learn, and have basic knowledge, experience, or interest in bike repair and maintenance. This role is integral to our bike and adaptive equipment rental operation at Kelowna Bike Rentals in partnership with Adaptive Adventures.

Bike Maintenance

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on all bikes and adaptive equipment
• Keep detailed records of bike maintenance and repair in our rental software
• Declare if a bike is safe or unsafe for rental and assign proper repair jobs
• Communicate with the senior mechanic (weekly on-site mentorship days) and management on parts and components

Customer Service

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
• Answer inquiries and help customers choose the right rental
• Assist with rental paperwork and complete the rental process
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and bikes on display looking sharp
• Ensure all safety rules and regulations are followed

We’re looking for an energetic and passionate person to join our team as a Marketing and Events Assistant this summer. This role offers a diverse set of skills and experience across events, social media, and program storytelling.

Events Support

• Support our Fund Development Coordinator with summer events, including On the Lawn — a 4-week lawn bowling fundraiser
• Day-of on-site event work, marketing, volunteer management, and participant engagement
• Pre-event work: securing donations and sponsors, coordinating with players, social media promotion

Marketing & Impact Reporting

• Communicate with team to collect stories from summer events and programs
• Share impact stories across marketing channels to highlight our community work
• Grow our social media following and deliver our social media plan
• Update and improve impact reporting templates for key stakeholders and funders

Program Media

• Spend time on summer programs capturing photos and video
• Content used for promotional work, social media, and shared with participant families

Customer Service

• Provide customer service to all equipment rental customers
• Set up and close down rental operations daily
• Work with POS systems to accept payment for rentals
• Provide customers with equipment introductions and safety briefings
• Be a positive ambassador for Elevation Outdoors and Adaptive Adventures
• Social media to highlight the program and raise awareness
• Work with volunteers, both able-bodied and those with diverse abilities

Maintenance Support

• Basic maintenance on all equipment (on-the-job training provided)
• Support the mechanic team to ensure bikes are in good working order
• Learn about both standard and adaptive recreation equipment
